Smaller room.
Deeper conversation.

A space to keep ideas moving between our main TEDx events.

One subject.
Many ways of seeing it.

TEDx Salons bring the community together for an intimate discussion with speakers and peers. Their smaller format makes room for diverse perspectives, thoughtful questions and meaningful exchanges.

Our salons explore a chosen topic through talks and conversation, inviting the NITK community to reflect on how these ideas connect to their own experiences.

Everything you need to know

Frequently asked
questions.

01What is a TEDx Salon?

A Salon is an intimate discussion which delves deeply into one specific subject area. Attendees are invited to interact and connect with speakers and each other in a round-table format to introspect on contrasting viewpoints.

02Who can attend the Salon?

Our Salons are open to curious thinkers, students, researchers, and community members. Because seating is intentionally limited to cultivate genuine conversation, prior registration is required.

03How do Salons differ from the Main Annual Event?

Flagship conferences span a full day with diverse multidisciplinary themes and large auditorium audiences. Salons are shorter, focused on a single urgent theme, and feature extended interactive Q&A sessions where every attendee's voice can be heard.

04Can attendees directly ask questions to speakers?

Yes! Unconstrained interaction is the cornerstone of TEDx Salons. Following each presentation, an in-depth moderated dialogue allows attendees to unpack ideas directly with the speaker.
